  1. Home Inspection Standards and Limitations

Castle Home Inspection performs home inspections in accordance with generally accepted industry standards and applicable Illinois requirements.

A home inspection is a visual, non-invasive examination of readily accessible areas of a property at the time of the inspection. It is not technically exhaustive and does not involve dismantling, destructive testing, or engineering analysis.

The inspection and any resulting report:

  • Reflect conditions observed only at the time of inspection
  • Are not a warranty or guarantee of future performance or condition
  • Do not identify all possible defects, safety issues, or code violations
  • Do not predict future failures or life expectancy of systems or components

Latent defects, concealed conditions, environmental hazards, and issues that are not visible or accessible at the time of inspection may exist and are outside the scope of the inspection.

The inspection report is prepared solely for the client named in the inspection agreement and may not be relied upon by any other person without our prior written consent.

All inspection services are governed by a separate written inspection agreement, which controls in the event of any inconsistency with these Terms.

Any estimates, opinions, or recommendations provided in the inspection report are based on the inspector’s professional judgment at the time of inspection and should not be considered definitive or exhaustive.
